Hi,
as indicated in th title, I am facing trouble with WoL.

I searched the internet and found out
-for MS Windows there is a registry entry required
-for Linux there is a ethtool command

but what to do in BSD?

Well WOL isn't supported in FreeNAS officially.. I believe you would have to run either a custom build with WOL support or patch in the drivers?

Exactly. It's not officially supported, so you are on your own to troubleshoot and fix the problem.

Depends upon the NIC. Which model is it and what driver is it using (from ifconfig)?

Hi,
It is the onboard LAN, an Intel Chip 82547ei (fast ethernet). The Board is a D1561a ( NOT D1561c) from Fujitsu.....It is configured for wol only.

Data Transfer is using a pci Card intel pro 1000 gt.

Does this help?

Still doesn't tell us the driver name. Post the output of ifconfig.
