What is epair0a?

I just noticed that on the console of the my server where it lists the IP addresses of the system it now lists the expected IP as well as another interface which is set to 0.0.0.0. On the network summary page of the web gui is the re0 interface that was always there but now also "epair0a 0.0.0.0/8"

Does this have something to do with the jail or plugins?

A quick Google search says it has something to do with jails.

That's how I came to the same thought but my googling couldn't definitively conclude that. Looking again though I'm reasonably sure that's what it is. Next question, why is an IP not listed there? I have statically assigned the IP through FreeNAS.
