What is all contained in the configuration database?

So im having some problems and I cant seem to isolate them. I also just got 2 more drives in so Id like to rebuild and make a 6 disk Z2.

I have a config backup from before all of my problems started, will I cause any issues or problems if I wipe my data drives, my boot drives, reinstall, and upload that config?

What all will that config file contain? Will it remember the services settings? users etc?

Yes, the configuration database contains all of your configuration settings so a fresh reinstall and an uploaded config should be fine. It does not contain the ZFS metadata (ie the layout of the pool), the contents and configuration of any jails, or the encryption keys if you have encrypted your pool.
