I'm curious about what the cloning button at the Virtual Machines really does? If I clone a VM via the clone button, do I have a clean backup of my VM at its current state? If I mess something up in my original running VM, can I restore it by its clone or just delete the original one and use the clone? Or is this not the proper way of using the clone function? I looked up the documentation but there isn't much information about this function.
