SOLVED Use default NTP servers?

Is there any preference between
the default freebsd.pool.ntp.org servers and
the geographic servers [example: #.north-america.pool.ntp.org]?

What's the best way to test?
Is there something I could derive from ntpq -p <servername> that I could use to compare the two?

(Also, which does your router use? ^ . ^ )

Depends why you care about time accuracy really. If you don't care, then no, there is no practical difference except perhaps availablility. But if you care about that stuff you should be using 5 more more servers.

Or get a serial GPS device and have your own stratum 1 time source.
