I just installed FreeNAS but below where it says: "Below you may try the following URL's to access the web user interface". there is no URL shown. What do I need to do to fix this? Thanks.

You can probably hit me with a stick for complaining about that subsystem; my guess is that the "fix" is sufficiently convoluted that they missed one of the possible cases.

Try logging in on the console and selecting the option to go to shell. Then look at the output of "ifconfig -a". My bet is that maybe the interface(s) are set to 0.0.0.0, meaning it's searching for a DHCP address. If not, that address is probably where it's listening. Please file a bug report outlining the details!

under "ifconfig -a" it says:

lo0: flags=8049<UP.LOOPBACK.RUNNING.MULTICAST> metric 0 mtu 16384
options=3<RXCSUM.TXCSUM>
inet6 fe80:: 1%lo0 prefixlen64 scopeid 0x1
inet6 ::1 prefixlen 128
inet 127.0.0.1 netmask 0xff000000
nd6 options=3<PERFORMNUD.ACCEPT_TRADV>

Looks to me like it's not seeing a network interface at all (lo0 is the software loopback). As the at&t intercept says, "Please check your hardware compatibility and try your boot again. (beep!)"

I believe the issue is with my Ethernet card. I think its not compatible with FreeNAS. I appreciate the help.

I put in a bug report for this since it's an easy error to make.
