Upgrade from 9.2.1.9 to 9.3

Hello,
My current OS 9.2.1.9 is running from a USB stick of size 2 GB.My jail is located on a different drive. I am planning to uprgade to 9.3 without loosing my jail and configuration how do I go about doing it?
Should I simply back up my config and restore it once I have moved to 9.3?

For what I know, the 9.3 needs at least a 4gb usb stick...

Yup I have thought of doing a fresh install on 8gb USB stick and restoring the old setups config. But I am not sure this will work.

Assuming the rest of the hardware meets the requirements and the volume is ZFS, yes it will work. Save your config, install on the new boot device, reimport your volume, restore your config, and point the jail config to the dataset holding the jails.
