Upgrade disks in striped mirror

Hi,
I am new to FreeNAS and have set up my HP microserver gen 8 system with a 4 x 2TB striped mirror.
I have 2 x WD reds in bays 1 & 2 and 2 x WD greens in bays 3 & 4. I am going to replace the 2 greens with 2 reds. Will I be able to replace these 2TB greens with 4TB reds and replace the other 2 when funds allow?
If so, will my capacity grow to match or will I have to wait until all 4 are replaced ?

Assuming the greens and reds are mirrored with each other, the pool should expand.

The 2 reds are one mirror and the 2 greens are the other if that makes any difference.

Of course it does. vdev sizes are based on the smallest drive they contain. This means that you can replace your two greens with larger Reds and get the extra space with no real strings attached.
