I recently upgraded my Truenas Core from 12.0 U8.1 to 13.0 U5.3. When I did that, I had some issues with my 10Gbps network cards, and decided to go back to version 12.
I first backed-up the version 13 upgraded configuration and then installed Core 12.0 U8.1 to a new boot drive (and my data drives are all still there with their data).
When I attempted to restore, I found that I can't restore the config from version 13 on a version 12 installation. I do not have a backup of my version 12 installation - only the version 13 config backup. Yes, I know I should have done that, but it didn't happen, so lets move on from that.
Is there some other way to recover the configuration to my version 12 installation? ....or is there a documented way to copy over the settings and regain access to my data on the version 12 installation?
Worst case is I just have to copy off all my data somehow and start fresh. I'd prefer not to do that, however.
