Seem to be having some hardware issues. I'm getting repeating errors stating "Device: /dev/ada5, unable to open device"
When I reboot it comes back online for a little while. Seems like as soon as I push any real data on the associated volume it goes offline.
I have good backups and the device isn't in production yet. Trying to decide if it is the hard drive, cable, power, etc. It's always this ada5 so I'm thinking it is the drive or sata cable or sata port.
I did a fairly extensive burn in from the instructions here. The results for ada5 were slightly concerning (see bottom of post). But it did get a passing score and Multi_Zone_Error_Rate seems to not be a good predictor of drive failure.
Could replace but would like to know thoughts of the experienced community members. Thoughts and thanks in advanced.
