Can somebody please explain to me how I should read the given data in Storage->Volumes.
I have a total of 4x2TB disks in a Z1 raid, which should give approx. 6TB, which it does. My data01 volume has 4.4 TiB used and 2.8 TiB available. This is the part I understand :)

But, my dataset data01 has 4.7 TiB used and 378 GiB available?
Next I created a zvol for vmware of 1.5 TiB and it has 1.9 TiB available?

The thing I wonder most is the data01 dataset having 378.3 GiB available, where I expect 2.8 TiB.
Can I check / manage this (from the command prompt maybe)?
How should I read this data?

Approximately ... the first line shows raw storage without RAIDZ1 overhead. The second line shows available storage with overhead. In other words, your pool is almost full (it says 92% under Used). And recognize the difference between TB and TiB.

Oh, wait, I didn't do my maths ;)
The first line gives 7.4 TiB ( which can be matched to 8 GB)
The second lines gives a total approx 5TiB (which can be matched with the 6GB)

I misinterpreted these numbers, but now I got it :D

And in that case, of course the overhead can't be reduced, it is the extra disk used for the RAID :D

Thanks, extra disk are coming in today :)

Keep in mind that you can't simply add disks to a vdev (but you can add vdevs to a pool). Depending on your goal, you may need to copy your data elsewhere, then destroy and recreate your pool. Make sure you read @cyberjock 's presentation before proceeding.
