smartd message

Hi people,

I got this message and would like to know if i have to replace the disk or if there are other options?

this is what i get:
Nov 5 01:32:32 freenas smartd[2323]: Device: /dev/ada3, 54 Currently unreadable (pending) sectors
Nov 5 01:32:32 freenas smartd[2323]: Device: /dev/ada3, 55 Offline uncorrectable sectors

Are there any other signs of failure like ZFS checksum errors? Have you looked at the other smart attributes of your hard drive(s)?

Please also use the forum search, this questions comes up every week or so:
- HDD Issues?
- Defective hard disk ?
- HDD - should i be concerned with this
- Unrecoverable sector WD Green (EARS)
- ...

i don't know stuff about smart attributes, but thanks to the links i saw i'm quite fine for the moment.

Those messages are pretty much indicators of a disk that is not in excellent health. I'd be doing a lot more than saying "I'm quite fine for the moment". I'd already have that disk replaced.

I have also got the same messages, on two different occasions (with two different drives). And in both cases I have replaced the drive in question.
