SMART Error. How do I Interpret this?

Hi All.

I recently received this error
CRITICAL: April 17, 2017, 4:04 a.m. - Device: /dev/ada3, Self-Test Log error count increased from 0 to 1

I scheduled another one for today and I got the result below.
CRITICAL: April 27, 2017, 3:57 a.m. - Device: /dev/ada3, Self-Test Log error count increased from 1 to 2

I have google around to try make sense of this but I have only found advice to provide this dump, Can someone please Interpret this dump or link me to a guide which will advise me on how to read this log?

The drive has failed several tests with read errors, which is not a good sign. If it's still under warranty I suggest you try to RMA it.

Ah okay. Do you mind sharing which lines indicate that? It also says "SMART overall-health self-assessment test result: PASSED" Which confused me.

Your problem is an intermittent one... our favorite kind! :eek:

These SMART test results from your earlier post show that the disk is (intermittently!) producing read errors:

Ah okay.
I have submitted an RMA.

I am not sure how to swap out the drive. Do i just power it off and swap in a blank?
The model doesn't have to be the same right? as long as it is of the same or larger data size.

There's a standard procedure for replacing failed disks when you're running FreeNAS 9.10:

If you're running Corral things are a little more complicated. You'll need to search the forum... I believe @dlavigne has written a 'How-To' guide.
