Slow speeds transferring large files from personal computer to new FreeNas build

Thanks for the link. I'm doing some renovations to the house and having network cables pulled throughout the house. We're going to put a patch panel in and have a gigabit switch in there. I just haven't purchased it yet. Was thinking of this 24 port one.

To the OP:

Glad your problem was identified. A little off-topic, but you do not need to run a separate lan cable to the IPMI interface - unless you have a specific reason for doing so. The motherboard manual will explain.
