Hello,

I have just setup FreeNAS using the video tutorial that you have supplied.
I have 3 ZFS Volumes (film, media and personal). I have the same permissions on these volumes, where owner (user) is root, owner (group) is xxxx

Mode is everything exept write enabled for Other.

Permission type is Win/Mac ACL

I also have 3 shares (film, medias and personal). These are setup identiacally, exept that I have tried to add @frontal as permitted to Read-Write.

The problem is that I am only able to write to the root-folder of the medias-share! Non of the other ones...even though I have been able to do so just prior to a reboot of the FreeNAS....

Can anyone help a newbie with this?

Regards,
Kurt

Please post the following:
  • Version of FreeNAS
  • Hardware specifications of server
  • Contents of /usr/local/etc/smb4.conf file [can be accessed by opening console and typing 'cat /usr/local/etc/smb4.conf' - output to text file and attach to thread]
  • Any relevant messages from /var/log/samba/log.smbd
  • Output of 'testparm'
