SAMBA: users created, but groups—not

With CIFS service running, when creating new users and groups I noticed that users are added to SAMBA but groups are not.

Is this by design?

FreeNAS-9.2.1.6-RELEASE-x64, Intel i3-4350, 16GB ECC memory

More details: when running net groupmap list from the shell I see the user gorups, but for some reason they are not exposed over the IPC$ share...

Deleting the groups, and adding them back fixed the issue UNTIL THE FIRST REBOOT. Then the groups disappeared from the IPC$ share again.

SAMBA user groups are dysfunctional after FreeNAS reboot.

Does anybody care? Am I the only one affected?

Please file a bug report. The forums are read by very very few FreeNAS developers, and even then only intermittently. Thanks.
