I wanted to provide an update.
Since turning on autotune which I know limited the max amount of ARC. The system has been 100% stable and performing great! I am very pleased with speeds overall on everything it is doing as far as I can test (Still more before making a production environment). So can someone help me understand what likely happened? Again, with my limited knowledge and observing TOP, the available memory was slowly devoured by the system and as you saw in a post above, the system froze at 492M available. Here is a screenshot of the tunables (I further limited ARC to 200GB, it previously was 240GB)
I know the more ARC techincally the better, but at some point it wouldn't benefit me. My main use of the system is for distributing video. My wife has a photography business and has a lot of raw files and normal photos. Raw files are around ~45mb.
