Hi all - very N00b here.
CONTEXT:
Installed the latest version of FreeNAS on HP N54L with 10MB RAM 3 x 2TB drives in RaidZ (ZFS).
I thought that I successfully setup Sickbeard (SB) and SABnzbd (SAB) as I was able to configure Sickbeard with the TV Shows and SAB downloaded them. However, SickBeard did not Post Process and the problem came down to permissions. In the meantime my server spat out logs around the plugins being "world writeable". When I rebooted the Plugins "died" with "502 GATEWAY" errors.
Successful Datasets (Permissions can be an issue)
Successful AFP Shares: Apple environment
I have no Users nor Groups set up except for the default ones
I have read the forums for the last 3 days (+/- 9 hours) and am getting a wide range of opinions - none of which worked for me. So I deleted all the Plugins and will start from scratch.
QUESTION:
How can I set up the permissions up front to enable SB and SAB to work, without opening permissions up as per most Tutorials (Nobody/NoGroup) and getting "world writable" log errors?
