perc 5/i not working

i have found that i can load the mfi driver for the perc 5/i, but when i try to "kldload mfi" i get this error:

kldload: can't load mfi: File exists

I think it has something to do with the geom_raid being loaded and locking the drives. so i guess i need to know 2 things.

1. How do i disable the geom_raid module so it doesn't lock the drives?
2. How do i load the mfi module on load?

now im not sure i should disable the geom_raid. when i run "graid status" i can see that my mirror on the perc5/i is loaded at /dev/raid/r0. how do i utilize r0 in freenas?

It is already loaded. You can check this by running kldstat.

You should not use it in FreeNAS. FreeNAS must access the drives directly. Does "graid delete raid/r0" help?
