Newbie HDD and zpool configuration

I've just ordere on ebay (in Italy has been activated a promotional discount of 20%) the supermicro X11-SLL-F, the lexar usb drives, the fractal design node 804 case, the Corsair TX550M PSU and two 2x8GB Samsung M391A1G43DB0-CPB ram modules.

Now I've to buy the HDDs (I still want to buy the Samsung Ironwolf 4TB) and the CPU: can you tell me if there are some better HDDs and what do you thin about the CPUs (Core i3 6100 or Core i3 6300)?

Anything that takes RDIMMs is going to be more expensive than something that doesn't, for comparable products (new vs. new, etc.).

Surprisingly little, but the CPU can easily handle any home use, short of several high-quality transcodes in Plex.

I have no reason not to be.

I want to install Emby instead of Plex, but I think it's the same... I look more precisely on Intel website to highlight the differences between 6300 and 6100

The CPUs seem identical: 6300 has 0.1 Ghz frequency more and 1MB more of Smart Cache
