New to FreeNAS with a performance issue :/

I found this thread maybe an hour before you sent it to me. With those new parameters I got around 375 mbps which is close to the windows performance :D

Brings up an interesting thing tho... should not the FreeNAS defaults be configured such that wifi clients can get regular wifi speeds when connecting to a gigabit connected FreeNAS?

I would think so...

Afterall, I would assume that serving wifi based clients is a major use case for an SMB/Home NAS.

You are right about that. I understand that ethernet is the best thing in town and that's why my main computers are all connected to it but for small laptops wifi is so much more convenient
Most ultrabooks don't even have an ethernet port and that's okay since there meant to be carried around.
