Hello,
I'm wondering if it was possible to recover my old data (2 HD in RAID1) on my new NAS with TrueNas, without rebuilt a new RAID (retrieve data), or the wipe will clean all data ?

regards,

ZFS is not RAID. You need to transfer your data from the old RAID to a new pool, with ZFS-formatted drives.

Where is that data from? If it's from a Free/TrueNAS installation with a ZFS pool, it's trivial; just import the pool. If it's from somewhere else, it depends.

Thank you for your reply.
More info. I'm using a QNAP server nas ts-251+, which crashed due to c2000 cpu bug.
I think my 2 HDs are not corrupted, and I would like to restored data, or put HDs to a computer, and by trying to create another "raid" maybe refound my files, without formating all.

Was your QNAP running ZFS? If yes, you should be able to import the pool and get your data. Without ZFS you probably need a Linux machine.
