I have roughly 1TB of data in my old NAS which run 2x2TB in RAID1. Now I want to move those drives into my new FreeNAS system. Unfortuantely I don't have a third device onto which I could copy before reformatting the drives for FreeNAS.
The only solution I can currently think of is to only wipe one of the old drives and install it in the new system, then copy all my data from the second old drive over to the new system and finally wipe that second old drive as well and add it to the new system as a mirror.
Is that possible?
