Since there's a place for intros, there's an implicit expectation. So, here's mine.
First, I lied about my birth date, because that's a bit of info that I keep close for security reasons. I'm new to FreeNAS, but definitely not new on this planet, and not new to other technology. I've been around Linux since about 1998, but it was more of a hobby and moonlighting work until just recently. I recently switched careers from an IT management role in a GI-NORMOUS company, to a SysAdmin for a relatively small company. Being small, we don't get to specialize. We all get to play in all the technologies that we have. And we all have to learn a little of everything! :)
We're looking at our options for managing backups, and that's why I'm here. I have a tech question, but I'll try to make sure I post it in the correct area.
