I'm new to FreeNAS, but not new to, at least the concept of servers.
I've recently tried OpenMediaVault which I found to be very flakey, especially in the upgrade department.
I've installed FreeNAS on my HP NL36 MicroCube (with 8Gb RAM) and all seems to have gone well so far. I've created a pool with 2 of my 3 installed discs and I've installed Plex Media Server (my main use for the box). I do have a 3rd drive which had all my OpenMediaVault content on it and I'm currently looking for a way to import this drive into the pool without losing the data - any help/pointers on this would be great (all of the drives were formatted and configured within OMV).
So far so good though and everything seems to be working well.
