My physical NIC just disappeard after update

Hi. New on forum but 2 years now (in the past too) FreeNAS user.
I have a problem. Today I updated my NAS to FreeNAS-8.3.1-RC1-x64 (r13329)
Suddenly all my network just crashed. Could not mount my hdd's on my BSD box with NFS or take webUI.
I checked my server and I saw that my network configuration has just been reset.
I tried to make again link aggregation but here is the problem.
In my server i have 2 gigabit ethernet cards (re0, rge0) to make link aggregation. On my NAS shows only one!
Where the other went?
dmesg | more return:
Code:
re0: <RealTek 8169/8169S/8169SB(L)/8110S/8110SB(L) Gigabit Ethernet> port 0xde00-0xdeff mem 0xfd7ff000-0xfd7ff0ff irq 20 at device 0.0 on pci4
re0: Chip rev. 0x10000000
re0: MAC rev. 0x00000000
miibus0: <MII bus> on re0
rgephy0: <RTL8169S/8110S/8211B media interface> PHY 1 on miibus0
rgephy0: none, 10baseT, 10baseT-FDX, 10baseT-FDX-flow, 100baseTX, 100baseTX-FDX, 100baseTX-FDX-flow, 1000baseT, 1000baseT-master, 1000baseT-FDX, 1000baseT-FDX-master, 1000baseT-FDX-flow, 1000baseT-FDX-flow-master, auto, auto-flow
re0: Ethernet address: 00:11:6b:97:d5:aa
re0: [FILTER]

Here is my complete dmesg: http://pastie.org/6412781
On my switch the light of rge0 in on but on fast ethernet, not on gigabit and on my NAS is just disappeared on webUI. Also on console change to name rgephy0??? It should appear as all the time. rge0
Finally during boot I get error that defaultroute="192.168.1.1" Network is unreachable
Please help me. There is a mess here.
I want my rge0 back :( :( :(

Well, what do ya know? You installed a beta/release candidate build and it didn't work. My advice since you are asking this question.. go back to 8.3.0 since you aren't the "advanced" user that the betas/release candidates are targeted for.

Put simply, if you can't figure out the problem and submit your own bug report so the developers can fix it you shouldn't be using unofficial builds in your server.

I read it. Nowhere tell how to downgrade. Only how to upgrade or how to install. Well I know how to install or update. But I want to go to a previous release. And I don't want to make a fresh clean install from begging.
My only idea is to update to a night build if this could solve the nic problem. For now the only that I want is my server to recognize my 2 nic, make link aggregation with both of them and serve my disks on network.
If a night build could maybe solve this problem, I could stay like this until the next stable release.

Please update your post and Title or it will be deleted:

3. When you start a new thread you MUST write a subject that accurately describes the content.

Including the following information in your thread will increase the chance you will get an answer:

FreeNAS version and platform (32 or 64 bit).
General hardware information (CPU, RAM, Motherboard model, etc.).
Specific hardware information (Network card chipset, Raid controller chipset, etc.).
DMESG output or copy of specific error message.
IFCONFIG output if you are asking about a NIC or networking problem.
PCICONF -lv output if you are asking about MotherBoard and / or PCI card problems.
Code snippets, logs, config files and quotes should be enclosed in the appropriate bbcode tags.
To provide you with accurate answers we need this information and it will also help others to find your posts when they are searching for similar information.

That appears to all be for the onboard NIC.

realtek pci ethernet controller
Care to be less specific?

It might be useful to load the old working FreeNAS on a 2[sup]nd[/sup] USB stick and post dmesg, pciconf -lv, etc from that.

On my FreeNAS I use two NIC. The first one is embedded on my mobo. Because I wanted Link aggregation, 2 years before I bought a second Gigabit NIC with the only criteria to be gigabit and compatible with BSD. Worked just fine. But because Nas is on a rack and just work, from then I never dealt with my NIC. So today on this release the problem is that the NIC that I bought from the store, is not seeing, or working on my system any more. I don't really remember even if is Realtek or Intel and the baddest is that the system not giving me any information about this NIC. just disappeared. I think that is Realtek (99% sure about that). Now about reinstall older FreeNAS to see the differences, is a little difficult because the NAS is on loft with some other servers, a lot of cabling from LAN and just is a complete pain that I wanted to avoid. There is no other option to find what's the manufacture and the model of my second NIC to deal with it?
My Nic seems like that as far as I remember: http://shop.jdbcomputing.co.uk/358-...network-pci-lan-nic-card-realtek-rtl8139c.jpg

This is the problem. I didn't see anything else in the dmesg or pciconf -lv, but I might have overlooked something. Maybe someone else will come along and point it out.

You don't know what the NIC is. Go find out exactly, specifically what it is. I leave it up to you to figure out what the easiest way is for you to do that.

Look at the NIC, locate the FCC ID number or similar, look it up on the internet (Google). That will likely pull up the part info.
