My CIFS shares are visible on windows 7 but not on windows 8.1

You can install a trial version of any Windows and run it for at least a month. Some of them allow you to run for 3 months

Still no joy but you will be surprised as I was when I tried Virtual box in a windows xp machine and I could see my shares !!!!. All that in my main machine, the same one that does not see my CIFS shares.
I am trying to get a free or cracked fr windows pro 8.1 64 bits iso that I could install in Virtual box. Can anyone tell me the best links for this.

Just do it the legal way and grab a eval version from MS directly

To advise everyone on my follow-up. EUREKA. Strangely, my problem resolved by itself, I am now able to see my CIFS shares????!!!!
