Hi guys i've been searching for an hour and cannot find any resources on this. I have an X550-T2 card in the freenas server and would like to connect 2 computers to it via peer to peer connection but i am only able to do 1. does anybody have a tutorial that would lead me in the right direction? i tried to set up the 2nd interface just like the first one but that did not work. Thanks in advance!

Bummer, I was hoping to plug two work stations into my Freenas server without having to buy anything else since my my NIC has 2 10Gbe ports already.

You should be able to do that, but you might have the share bound to the IP address of the first interface only.
Take a look at your SMB service configuration:

Each interface on the NAS will need to be in a different subnet range. I have this type of thing configured at work to allow a single server to connect to two networks that don't talk to each other. It might take a little work to get it going, but it can be done.
One network is in the range 192.168.1.x and the other is in the 192.168.2.x range. The two networks can't talk to each other, and they each connect to a different interface on the NAS.

Freenas interface 1: 192.168.10.10 connected to Station 1: 192.168.10.11
Freenas interface 2: 192.168.11.10 cannot connect to Station 2: 192.168.11.11
I set subnet as 255.255.255.0 for all.
