Just put a new build together - bought new unsupported hardware... Had read about install issues on Skylake with USB install, so knew i took a chance but hoped to find a way around it.. Turns out not so easy anyway...
I'm getting Mountroot error 19 when trying to install. Goal is to get it installed on a SSD. Tryed the following:
- Tryed a couple of different USB-pen and all ports on MB
- Tryed to install from IPMI/kvm virtual cd-rom (this have a AMI-USB prefix in boot menu...)
- Tryed the kern.cam.boot_delay fix
- Tryed to install FreeNas 10 alpha, same error
I do not have a CD/DVD drive to connect... Maybe possible to install from another HDD/SSD? have multiple layoung around. Or do the install to SSD on a different system, then move the SSD and do the config i correct system?
My hardware:
- Asrock E3C236D2I
- Xeon e3-1230 v5
- 2 x 16GB Crucial DDR4 EEC UDIMM (CT2K16G4WFD8213)
- Lsi 9211-8i card (IT mode)
- 6 x 3TB WD RED (connected to HBA card)
- Intel something SSD (connected to MB, this is where i wan't to install FreeNas)
