Hi everyone,
I've searched the forum but not managed to find an answer. Basically I have 1 x 2tb disk and 2 x 1tb disks.
Is it possible to set up a mirrored raid of 2tb with these disks? (so that the two 1tb ones would basically act as a single 2tb mirror)
I'm utterly skint or I'd just go out and get another 2tb disk. If it's possible with the above disks I'd save myself some waiting!
Ta.

I don't think this is possible with the way ZFS works. If it's possible, you'd end up with the two 1TB drives striped together, and that mirrored with the 2TB drive. Not very good for redundancy. A better arrangement would be a RAIDZ1 with all three drives; capacity of that would be ~ 2 TB. You could then, in the future, replace the 1TB drives with 2TB drives to expand the capacity of the array (to ~ 4 TB).

Nope, you can't use the 1TB disks as 2TB.
