MINIDLNA - RMVB Support?

Hello guys..

I looked this day long if MiniDLNA can play RMVB files on samsung smartv ..
Is that possible?

I can play everything else, but RMVB files doesn't show on my movies list.
Do you guys know how to make it work?

I think your problem is on your samsung TV.
I think your samsung TV hides files with RMVB extension, and certainly your TV can't decode RMVB files.
So if you really want to see these files on your tv, you must use an other plugin that can transcode your RMVB files into a known format for your TV.

I really don't think so..
If I put RMVB files on my pendrive or my external USB HD, I can play RMVB files on Samsung SmarTV...and when I had Samsung ALLSHARE installed on my Windows Desktop, I could play RMVB files as well.

With miniDLNA , these files are not listed on smartTV movies list.
Maybe I need to enable a feature on miniDLNA to discover these files?

I tried to rename a file from RMVB to MP4 extension, and the file is now on the list, but it cannot play (probably because it is trying to play as MP4 instead of RMVB)

Do you guys have ever seen this ?

But I could not find the file I need to patch.

i've tried on my samsung TV E6xxx.
With a USB HDD, rmvb files are not seen.
On my NAS, rmvb are not seen, rm file are not seen too, if i rename the file in .avi it was seen but not readable.

For me, my tv don't acceptrm or rmvb files.
