Are all the logs generated by FreeNAS in /var/log?
I get two daily reports emailed to myself. In the security report the other day, it appeared someone was trying to brute force ssh my machine. But I was unable to find any log in /var/log that contained the same login errors. Likewise, I've not found the other report's messages in any of the /var/log files either.
Any thoughts?
Also, being a noob, I was reading about syslog and rsyslog. Would it be worthwhile to setup a local syslog/rsyslog server that all my remote FreeNAS logs transferred to? Or is it easier to just ssh to the remote FreeNAS box to read them?
