Linux VMs hanging upon boot after installation, Freenas 11.2-U6

Hello!

I'm able to install Fedora 30 under bhyve, the iso boots and the installer runs via the vnc web interface. Upon reboot the linux boot hangs starting "Gnome Desktop" each time. I'm also not able to get a serial terminal into the vm to debug. Is this a known issue?

Hi @dlavigne.

I wouldn't even know where to start. Oddly I can run the install from the iso so the gui is working, network is working etc but it hangs upon reboot after the install completes. Given that F30 works fine under virtualbox and parallels it would seem to be an issue with Bhyve but I have no idea what to try or test. Mostly I'm hoping an updated freenas version comes out and resolves things but its too bad as I rebuilt this machine with freenas thinking I could use it for backups and move the previous linux install data into a Bhyve vm.
