Hi All,
Not sure that's a good thread title but hey ho.
I have 5 users accessing 6 shares via cifs. I have got them into one of four user groups -
admin (me, owner of files and full access)
management (full access but no permission to change owner or permissions)
readworker (read/write, execute but no delete, no permission to change owner or permissions)
deleteworker (read write execute and delete, no permission to change owner or permissions)
Having set the permissions all seems to be working as expected, however, if one of the users creates a folder or file, on a share that they have access to, that user becomes the owner of that file and the permissions don't seem to be applied.
Do I need to use windows to set inherited permissions to accomplish this?
Many Thanks
Duncan
