Intel PRO/1000 EB dual GBit NIC

The Supermicro mobo from my server has an Intel PRO/1000 EB network card onboard (Intel 82563EB)
The card worked fine but after a reboot today suddenly not anymore.
On bootup I see:
em0: using an msi interrupt
em0: setup of shared code failed
device_attach: em0 attach returned 6

Neither of the 2 network ports is working. I tried reinstalling FreeNAS 9.2 but tht didnt change anything.
When I looked at the ATX IO panel I noticed that the Link and Activity LEDs of both ports are dark, no matter which one is plugged

Aaand all of a sudden it works again, after I had unplugged the system for a bit ^^
