Just kidding, I work in IT. My personal motto: Its not about knowing everything, its about knowing how to find out about what you don't.
I have always used old parts and pieces to make my storage solutions in the past, now I gave myself a budget (that I loosely adhered to) and this is going to be my first all new build just to serve my storage needs, I may post over in the the "Will it FreeNAS?" my parts and pieces links to see if anyone has any suggestions.
I tried other storage solutions but FreeNAS seems like my cup o' tea so I'm going to give it a shot.
