Avoid IPV6 - its not something you need or want at this stage

Follow the type address instruction I gave you and tell it to save it. say n to IPv6.

Well, try it! What was it, BTW? 192.168.1.120 or something else?

I entered the one you suggested and that is what shows under the console list when I bring that up.

For anyone that's interested, OP didn't have a connection between his switch and the ISP's modem. Ethernet over powerline the probable (?) culprit. There were multiple hardware quirks that compounded the diagnosis. Two boxes, one with FreeNAS, then TrueNAS, supposedly wired; one Win11 Beta wireless and functioning box as a connection to ISP, both boxes on a KVM, sharing one monitor, mouse and keyboard.

Okay, solved. It was one of the ethernet over power line boxes that went bad. Luckily I had a wireless access point I could set up. I can now access the NAS TrueNAS from my windows machine using the IP address that Redcoat helped me with.
Be that as it may, I am now looking at the TrueNAS Core Dashboard form my Windows computer.
I'm sure I will have other questions in the future.

A big thanks to everyone especially Redcoat for all the assistance.
