Can't Acquire IP Address

Newbie help please. Have freenas 8 installed, NIC card found, but LAN IP address not acquired automatically (just 0.0.0.0). Tried manually installing 192.168.2.250 (same subnet as router), seems to take, but can't access webGUI by using that address from another computer. Router address is 192.168.2.1. What can I do to be able to access webGUI so I can continue setup? Thanks all.

If you are running System 7 you are on the wrong forum entirely. If you mean FreeNAS 7 you are also on the wrong forum. You can find a link to FreeNAS 7 forums at the top of the page.
