I must be missing something but I can't seem to solve this

I have a yellow blinking warning light and the warning "HTTP SSL certificate is not valid, failling back to HTTP". This was after I had changed some fields in the SSL screen. Removing those values again did not fix the warning.

So I've tried to create a new key and certificate following this guide (and some others). I entered the values, with Passphrase and without, pasted the RSA PRIVATE KEY and CERTIFICATE however, I can't get rid of the warning.

Is the certificate actually working (e.g. can the browser connect through https without an error)? If so, you can uncheck the alert to disable it.

I've had this warning on two machines, both with upgrades and clean installs of the last three versions of freenas too. I've failed to get rid of it! And https does not work... I can delete the certs, reenable https, and it works, but reverts back to this error on reboot!

I created a new certificate (this time sure I did everything right) and tried again. Still get the warning and HTTPS no longer works after reboot. The curious thing is that it does work before reboot!

I created a bug created #5638

I have the exact same problem. Generated cert, rebooted and also got a broken https connection and the warning (yellow alert on web GUI).
Hope this will be fixed soon. Had this problem from the last freenas version till this one.
freenas box is a xeon 1230 with 16gb ram and 6x3tb raid z2.
