HP ProLiant MicroServer N54L

Hi Guys,

I am new to freenas and want to build a basic server for my digital storage. I have a HP ProLiant MicroServer N54L with me with the following specs:

• AMD Turion Processor
• 8 GIG ECC Kingston RAM
• 4 x 2TB WD Green HDD
• Pen Drive to boot.

I want maximum capacity and performance and don't have much idea about various RAID settings. Please suggest me an ideal setup. Also I would like to know:

1. Do I need to have all HDDs of similar size?
2. Can I add/replace disks later?
3. Will I loose all the data if any disk failed?
4. What should be the ideal setup for getting maximum space?

Not many users will be using NAS simultaneously.
