hp proliant dl380 g5 setup

i am looking to use the hp proliant dl380 g5 with 16gb and two intel xeon cpus, for the drive am looking to use 8 x WD Red 750GB 2.5" SATA NAS Hard Drive with hp's 10GBe pci-e2 for use in a hyper-v clustered environment.

my questions are;

is this setup compatible
how do i setup the network with the 10GBe pci-e2 for iscsi
will all the drive be read by the smart controller?

From experience, the DL380 G5 on-board RAID controller cannot be flashed to IT mode, so you will have to get one that does. Do not set-up a logical volume on the controller itself, otherwise you get all of the risk and none of the benefits.

That is not going to cut it for iSCSI. May want to consider 64-96 GB RAM as a start...
Have a read of "Why iSCSI often requires more resources for the same result" and then feel free to search the forums for more info. /Been a lot of people wanting iSCSI lately...

well i have a dl380 g6, would that have the IT mode, what am trying to achieve is a NAS box that will allow me to run my vms on hyper-v or vmware, with vmware i know its easier to use since i can just use normal/simple network share but hyper-v requires iscsi.
