How to upgrade Transmission? Magnet links don't work with 2.77.

Magnet links don't work with 2.77, just downloads them forever - normal torrents work.

Tested magnet links with 2.8 and it works just fine there.

Of course, all ports are forwarded and tested - it just doesn't work with 2.77 - also confirmed in the Transmission forums.

So would like to upgrade, but how?

I'm assuming you're on a 9.x system.

It depends upon whether you are using Plugins or Jails.

If Plugins, you will need to create an issue at bugs.freenas.org asking that the PBI be updated to 2.82 (the latest FreeBSD version).

If Jails, and you have created a jail that supports packages/ports (see Table 9a in the Guide), you can use either method to install the latest version. How to use packages and ports are in the "Installing non-PBI Software" chapter of the Guide.

Yes, the latest 9.1.1.

It's a plugin, so i will post in the bugs section.
