I'm running an Ubuntu VM on 11.1-U1 and currently have it set to 1920x1080 using the GUI dropdown menu. I want to add the option to use 1280x720 (so there's less network/hardware overhead) but I want to keep the aspect ratio at 16:9. I feel like I did this once to add 1920x1080 but I don't remember how I did it and now I can't seem to find the commands I used to add a custom resolution permanently to the VNC dropdown menu.

Sorry if this was already answered in a thread. I could not find the answer with the forum search. Thanks for your help.

I don't think you can add to these without editing the code, which will revert back with each reboot of FreeNAS. Yet it will be fixed in 11.1-U2, that resolution was added here: https://redmine.ixsystems.com/issues/27758#note-2 Also you can see in that diff of the changes how to manually add if you really want to hack it till 11.1-U2 is released (not recommended for a long term solution, unless you like editing each reboot of the system).
