Hello all,

I´m from Germany and mostly a Linux user.
I build up my first freenas machine. Thanks to the good infos in the Ressources section and the good freenas documentation I got it up an running.
My System:

• Supermicro X11SSL-F
• 16 GB of Samsung RAM
• 2* 2TB WD Red
• Fractal Design Define Mini
• bequiet Straight Power 10
• Core i3 6100
• HGST Workstation HDD for OS

I actually have to bring my shares up und integrate it in my homenetwork. Until now I have an nfs share and one cifs share connected. The speed must get better. I hope I will have time for that soon.

I plan to run some vms, Nextcloud and perhaps plex.

Ooh! I love NextCloud! I use it myself! It allows me to have my own private Dropbox-like functionality. I primarily use it to sync my KeePass database across devices
