Hi,

I need some help setting up a VM in freenas.
My system:
The situation:
I created a VM for Ubuntu 17.10. I added a CD Rom Device with the ubuntu.iso.

I now wan`t to create a VNC device as follows (new UI):

So I checked the logs in /var/logs but I can`t find a message there, that tells me something.

Could someone help me? In which log file should I find the message and what the hell could be wrong there?

Thanks in advance and greetings

Does it work when you configure it in the current UI and not the new UI?

Hi m0nkey,

yes, I can configure the vnc device in the current UI. But the current UI does not have the possibility to give the device an apropriate resolution.:(

So it seems to be a bug in the upcoming ui. But in which logfile can I find usefull information. Perhaps i have to make a Bug Report.

EDIT: Wait, that's strange. In the classic UI I cant`t see the same UI than in the documentation:

My UI:

UI from the documentation:

So it seems, that the update to FreeNAS-11.0-U4 (54848d13b) has failed? --> Verify install tells me, that everything is ok. But this seems to be wrong....
What is the best way to get that fixed?

The file /data/update.failed doesn't exist.
