Hi everybody,
I'm JC from Rouen, a little town in France, Upper Normandy. I'm a new user of FreeNAS. Previously i used OMV but i'm not a cmd and linux expert and the interface was less userfriendly than Freenas.
My config is :
- Fractal Design Define R5 Black
- Intel Core i3-6100 (3.7 GHz)
- ASRock B150A-X1
- 2 x G.Skill Aegis 8 Go (1 x 8 Go) DDR4 2133 MHz CL15
And 2 x 2 To WD RED
+ 2 other HDD (1 WD 320 Go and 1 FUJITSU 500 Go)
I'm using FreeNAS CORRAL, after tried FreeNAS 9.10 during 1 week.
My use of this NAS is to save all my data :
- Photos
- Videos
- Music
- Films and TV Shows
So it will be a media center and a backup center for my computers (Apple iMAC an MacBook Pro with Time Machine). Also I will use it for downloads.
In a future post i will share pictures of my setup.
