I believe something within my FreeNAS installation is generating a lot of writes to the boot drive (USB flash drive). About 21Meg/hour are being sent to my flash drive. And before you ask, the System Dataset Pool is pointing at the hard drive array, not the flash drive.

I'm having difficulty figuring out who the culprit is and I would like to ask for help.

I tried to use vfssnoop.d, but received the error: "dtrace: failed to compile script ./vfssnoop.d: Preprocessor not found".

I tried using lsof and "top -m io", but they couldn't show me enough details or the right details.
