Hello FreeNAS community. I have played around with FreeNAS quite a bit already, but mostly 0.7.x on an old broken ThinkPad that didn't charge its batteries anymore.
Now I exchanged the ThinkPad for an HP N36L MicroServer and upgraded to FreeNAS 8. My system is planned to be a home server to back up some Time Machine data, store the media collection, do some streaming every once in a while (very happy about Plugins and MiniDLNA, by the way), and perhaps even more.
Since I am really new to ZFS but I want some redundancy on top of my weekly backup strategy I might just be asking some real newb questions every once in a while here. I hope you'll bear with me ;-)
