Hi guys,
Just getting into the custom server/NAS/storage 'whatever you gonna call it' world.
So, in short. Not having anything like the above. Only a desktop, and hopping around with a few USB sticks. Not working very well for me. In the past, I had a WD mediaplayer, the ones with the built in hard disks. Pretty neat machines, a shame it died.
Been reading a lot into building something by myself, also had some cool lessons about ESXi/Virtual Machining/servers at my job. Not 'certificate style', more the 'nice to know' kind of stuff. Anyway, I was triggered.
Going to put up a thread this evening, have been reading through some FAQ's/how to get started. Might be coming up with something.
