Hi guys, here is my big problem:
I settled all my Freenas 9.1.1 box and even if with slow speed performance because of my poor hardware I was able to run all the services i needed (FTP, SCSI, CIFS, DDNS, SSH, emails) until the other day that i created a dataset called SYSLOG (as a guy in the forum said), in order to have all the logs in that place.
Since that day, FTP service is not working anymore and the console message says:
Sep 30 17:42:38 freenas notifier: Starting proftpd.
Sep 30 17:42:38 freenas notifier: freenas.local proftpd[3664]: Fatal: SyslogFacility: unable to open syslog: Operation not permitted on line 10 of '/usr/local/etc/proftpd.conf'
Sep 30 17:42:38 freenas root: /usr/local/etc/rc.d/proftpd: WARNING: failed to start proftpd
Sep 30 17:42:38 freenas notifier: /usr/local/etc/rc.d/proftpd: WARNING: failed to start proftpd
I guess the problem is because of the SYSLOG dataset i created...isn't it?
I tried to cancel that dataset, but the system says "cannot unmont, device busy"
How do I solve that?
Thank you for the help
